Database¶

Miscellaneous databases stored by VUnits.

Unit Database¶

This database is responsible for parsing units. The accepted options are available in Supported Units.

`read_unit_db`	Updates unit database
`write_unit_db`	Writes unit database

This database is responsible for applying the correct order-of-magnitude adjustments to the base quantities.

`long_prefixes`	Long prefix used for unit descriptions (e.g.
`short_prefixes`	Short prefix used for unit symbols (e.g.

These miscellaneous databases store other values useful for processing.

`atomic_weight`	Atomic weight.
`symmetry_dict`	Keys are point groups and the values are the symmetry numbers used for rotational modes.
